Journey to Monterey, California
A Plein-Air Painting Workshop with

Albert Handell and Anita Louise West

August 24-28 , 2003

The rugged coastline along the Monterey Peninsula, the Big Sur area and Carmel has long been a favorite with artists. Spectacular cliffs and booming surf, rocky shores juxtaposed with strips of sandy beaches all add up to exciting elements of the artists’ compositions. The surf is particularly dramatic along this coast, and the trees and shoreline are spectacular. The occasional whale sighting from shore-side painting spots can enrich the plein-air experience.
